Me and Boriken once decided to have a go at doing a song and use only six samples in total.

Here's the catch. I choose half the samples and he chooses the other half. We both end up using the same samples.

We said modulation and adding effects to the samples was allowed. Looping / Chopping / Slicing the samples was allowed. It was pretty much a free for all except you HAD to use those selected samples for whatever you were attempting to do.
