Witnesses of Craveone's musical onslaught will testify to his raw energy-filled live performances and sound assassinating production. Whether it be drum n bass or ragga-jungle, he is guaranteed to deliver nothing but the rough and rugged stormers. Craveone currently has four vinyl releases and one digital release under his belt.
His musical journey began in 1993 as a drummer for local punk bands. He embraced the electronic beats of drum n bass in 1996. Influenced by the sounds of jazz, hip-hop, reggae, industrial, and hardcore, his choice sound of DnB is that of choppy amens and grimey basslines, which eventually led him to a love for ragga-jungle and breakcore as well. Craveone began collecting DnB records and Dj'ing at clubs, bars, raves, and house parties in 1999. Craveone is cred
ited for being the first to bring the sounds of drum n bass and ragga-jungle to the forefront in Wichita, being the exclusive DnB Dj for over 2 years in the late 90's - early 2000's. While continuing to play drums for several bands, and Dj'ing both locally and out of state, he began producing in 2001.
Craveone has had 4 major vinyl releases, distributed worldwide, as well as an MP3 collab release. His first release with his hometown crew Jungle Recon, JR001, gained much respect in the DNB and ragga-jungle community from listeners, DJ's, producers, and label owners alike, even being pressed and released a second time over a year after its initial drop. His highly awaited second release with Mos-Hi, MOSHI002 is a ragga-jungle dance floor anthem. His third release on Foul Play records, FP005, is a hard-hitting DnB track borrowing underground hip hop samples and gained worldwide recognition. His most recent vinyl release, SSBLOOD002, was on Dubplatelet in 2007. Craveone’s sole MP3 release thus far was in 2011, a collab on Evil Bastards’s Spirit Bomb EP, SFLYD043, on Stupid Fly Records.
Craveone spends his time as a typical musician, with numerous projects going on simultaneously. He has worked with both jungle and hip hop mc's, and is known for producing hip hop beats as well as dancehall riddims and breakcore madness. Bringing nothing but the dirtiest and grimiest of DnB and ragga-jungle, he blesses crowds with his signature blend of mashed-up original dubplates.
