Captured live during a night of worship in Ottertail, Minnesota; this song spoke to me in such a strong and powerful way. The moment I heard the recording, I saw a picture of an eagle on a branch over a great canyon. I knew it was injured but I could sense his anticipation as the eagle began to flap his wings for a moment. It was a test. I watched patiently as the sun was setting on the horizon and in a moment, the eagle began to flap his wings and lift off and fly away, soaring in the air once more.
It spoke to me so profoundly, and it’s what I believe this song releases, the hope and courage to fly again. Some of you have been in transition or a season of trial, but for many the healing time has taken it’s course and it’s time to stretch your wings once more and fly again.
