    Leilani jumped right in on this one, creating lyrics and then adding multi-tracked vocals and bass.

    I then fiiddled with the mix and added some additonal instrumentation (slide guitar and Moog-like synth) to fill out the arrangement.

    Some other tweaks are in the works but we thought it would be good to share at this stage in the process.

    ====================
    MONTCLAIR RHUMBA Lyrics (Leilani Roosman*)

    Para mi, para ti, por el amor
    Kukurukuku
    Nobody deserves your tears
    But whoever deserves them will not make you cry
    Nobody, nobody at all, deserves your tears
    But whoever deserves them will not make you cry
    Fly little bird, fly away, leave all your sorrows behind
    Love is a swollen stream
    Winding down Montclair
    Searching for a dream
    Turning this way and there
    Never telling you why
    Your heart is lost on her
    May the clouds in your eyes drift away
    Te quiero con toda mi alma
    Eres el amor de mi vida
    No puedo vivir sin ti
    Tu eres mi luz en la oscuridad

    =====================

    *Gabriel Garcia Marquez's words 'Nobody deserves your tears. But whoever deserves them will not make you cry.' was the inspirational starting point for the lyrics.

    Leilani has done another version here: Tango - MONTCLAIR RHUMBA TANGO - Cham R & Leilani Roosman with Dammor (Tango Remix) by Leilani Roosman
