About
Hello, Corneilius here. I am a bag of self organised bacteria, Earth materials walking on the Earth in the form of a human being,,,, my current interests are gardening, natural life, the real nature of being human, happy children and I am writing a small book titled 'Natural child, Natural Society'. I make music, naturally enough. The subject is always the children.
What I see is this : that the health of any given society is based upon how children are treated, because that's what will determine the behaviour of the adult the child becomes. Treat the child with empathy, and you end up with an empathetic human being. Treat them as people who need to be controlled and they will grow up as controlling people. Abuse them ad they will suffer, and many (not all) will grow up to become abusers. Empathetic adults do not abuse others.
Bio-Logically speaking, THRIVIVAL is the name of the game, and it's a long term game for ALL successful species.
THRIVIVAL emerges when beings do what they do because that is their core nature, and that what they do improves the habitat for ALL life. Thus the old paradigm of competition is exposed as a fallacy, a projection of Civilisations neurosis onto Nature....
Society or Culture is the emergent behaviour of any group of people, and it's a variable, it's not a constant. Because long term THRIVIVAL depends on having the ability to read the habitat for subtle and gross changes and the ability to learn, both of which are innate, intrinsic to all living processes. It 's the ability to learn that enables the appropriate response to the changes that occur.
As John Holt put's it "Basically that the human animal is a learning animal; we like to learn; we need to learn; we are good at it; we don't need to be shown how or made to do it. What kills the processes are the people interfering with it or trying to regulate it or control it."
