“Sandwiched between Paris and London !!! In the duo with
Matthew we play ballads and improvised pieces together
and when augmented by guest Franck Vaillant, the music is
much more rock and groove-based – but the way we play
is funny, taking inspiration from faces in the audience.”

“For me this duo is really about the coming together of many
things that we both share in common – both musically and
personally. Laurent is a great friend and I treasure these
intimate duo settings, where we are constantly learning
and discovering new musical avenues together.”

Laurent Dehors, impressed by pianist Matthew Bourne’s
ability to gravitate between intensity and subtlety (in Dehors’s
2009 project, Concerto Grosso), decided to develop their
partnership in a dynamic yet intimate duo setting.
This partnership is based on mutual respect and diverse
infl uences. Playing original compositions that allow rigour
and improvisation in equal measure, both Bourne and
Dehors display their trademark virtuosity, energy and humour
    to impeccable musical ends.
