Already known to the public for their pop-wave sound of rich and international texture, Confield officially form on 17th March 2009 in Rome from the union of guitarists Luca Mamone and Paolo Ferrara, drummer Gabriele Maligno, bassist Alessandro Bennati and singer Gianluca Buttari. In December of the same year the band performs for their first time at the “Keep it Yours” night in Rome, sharing the stage with Ryan Jarman of The Cribs. Soon they are covered and interviewed on various radio stations (Radio 2 Rai, Radio Città Futura, Radio Popolare e Radio Città Aperta) and play in many other clubs both in Rome and across Italy.
On May 2010 their self produced EP “Confield 2010” is published (recorded and mixed by Valerio Fisik at Hombre Lobo studios in Rome and mastered by Steve Fallone at New York’s sterling studios). They are supporting band for Alex Kapranos (Franz Ferdinand) at the Brancaleone club in Rome and are chosen by Peter Hook as supporting band for the Italian tour, “An Unknown Pleasures Celebration”, in honor of Ian Curtis on the 30th anniversary of his death, and the audience’s response is highly positive.
By the end of 2010 they present their first video in anticipation of the single “Polaroid” that will be later published on 7” record, followed by a remix by LuckyBeard, on April 9 2011 for the independent label Keep It Yours. In April 2011 they are guests on Radio 2’s program “Twilight” and play a few songs on air in acoustic. In September, Sony Music publishes “Songs from freaks - The Series” a compilation for which “Polaroid” is chosen.
RBL Music Italia is currently directing the release for their first self produced full length album “Confield” (recorded and mixed by Valerio Fisik/Hombre Lobo and mastered by Mike Marsh at Exchange Studios in London.
