This song just takes me back to my childhood listening to my mother's tunes. <3

This is just lovely! The thing I love about Fiona's voice is how husky and breathy it is, but also how versatile it is. It's a jazz voice, but it can pass for a rock voice because it's such a strong voice and she can make it sound extra raspy (eg. "I Want You" with Elvis Costello or live versions of "To Your Love"). But she can also sing quiet tunes in the vein of "Everyday". So I think her voice is perfect for a doo-wop/early rock song like "Everyday" because it combines the two. Plus, this rendition really brings out the lullaby feel of Buddy Holly songs (love the bells). I can't wait to hear new material from Fiona!

I love this song. It brings me back to childhood (even though I was born in '85)
