About
Giuseppe Cordaro hides himself behind the pseudonym con_cetta. A guitarist in several ensembles, he has devoted himself to electronic music since 2005. After having released a work (Sclerosis) for the netlabel Zymogen (www.zymogen.net), he has cut his first album "Micro" for the UK label Moteer (www.moteer.co.uk).
He has collaborated with several artists, Corrado Nuccini and Jukka Reverberi from Giardini di Mirò, Emidio Clementi, Giorgio Sancristoforo, Grey in Sparkle, Luca Sciarratta (musicians), Giuseppe La Spada, Quayola, suicase (video-artists), Francesco Fei (director).
"....con_cetta's real name, explores many different languages in the field of electronic music, but his composition process is structured in a particular way. He begins with samples taken from different recording sessions and then processes every sound using Gleetchlab, a software programmed by Tobor Experiment (www.gleetchplug.com), which, with its very intuitive interface, gives Giuseppe all the possibilities to express his feelings and imagination in a digital format.
.....this is music for the beauty around you"

"Micro" Reviews:
Boomkat - http://boomkat.com
"New Moteer acquisition Con Cetta hails from Sicily, expanding upon the label's established sound with an album of beautiful, evocative processed sounds, exploring the properties of the looping and layering techniques available in the post-glitch era. While much of this album might be seen to approximate the classic clicks+cuts sounds of late period Mille Plateaux, there's a sublime late night aesthetic here that's effortless and hugely involving, perhaps more closely resembling the more melodically accommodating sounds of Mokira or even 12k's shuttle358 on 'Connecting Forming Averaging Positive'. More shuffling ambient strategies follow on 'Ken', which takes some emphasis off beat-like rhythms and instead immerses the listener in the granular judder of Con Cetta's lively circuitry, something perhaps best exemplified by the Tim Hecker-like piano and field recording blur of album closer 'Mentis'. "Micro" establishes a wonderful harmony between the familiarly warm, melodic compositions of the Moteer sound and a more experimental, ambient approach to electronic music, making for another exceptional transmission from this always-great label. Gorgeous music - Essential Purchase".

"Over the years Moteer have produced some fine records. The label has developed its sound so you pretty much know what you're gonna get with each release. Some nice acoustics over some small baby sized electronics and bingo the label are on the phone inviting you round to Moteer mansions for some cocktails and that. I do like a nice cocktail..... Anyhoo This Con_cetta 'Micro' CD fits in nicely with the label though to my ears it's a bit different for the label. Sure there's the 2 vital ingredients above but there's a lot more here to . The opener kicks off sounding just like Brian Eno's Music For Airports or perhaps some early Harold Budd with some light style Fennesz crackles and wisps in the background. The melodies which hacksaw their way into your tiny minds are very much correct and present. If you listen to this through headphones you'll get the crackles and all the small micro electronics you'd regularly miss. I have to say I quite like that as I've heard this a few times and listening to it through headphones makes me feel like I've discovered some new dimensions to the record. Lush ambient electronics, coupled with lots of Moteer style twinkles, melodies and whatnots all crumpled together to make a delicious CD pie. I have to get the pies in somewhere.... I've not had one all week, despite the fact an award winning pie shop has opened up locally. Seriously I've done really well. I've managed to block pies out of my mind until now. Arses.... Well if that hasn't sold it to you (my fascinating pie talk) then the 1st 200 copies come with a bonus remix CD featuring mixes by The Remote Viewer, Part Timer, The Boats, Then Dof and lots more. If it's anything like the last Moteer release with the bonus CD then don't dawdle as it's gonna fly out. Quality!!".

"Though Giuseppe Cordaro’s debut album as Con_Cetta was apparently produced using “auto-generative processes,” the drones, clicks, and murmurs of Micro seem perfectly poised: The sound design seems careful and considered rather than haphazard or arbitrary. For the most part, the Milan-based sound sculptor finds merit in near-asceticism–this is austere, humorless music and all the better for it–but Micro is nevertheless engaging enough to warrant repeated listens, and when hints of warmth do burst through (as on “Kent”) it’s as if minor miracles are taking place".

"The most recent Moteer release is just a very fine piece of work indeed. The very first track, 'Ker', totally captured me with its combination of deep texture and haunting piano motifs - reminded me a little of a less experimental Ken Kirschner or a more robust William Basinski, if you see what I mean. From there it evolves into a real voyage of sound with a combination of melodic soundscape driven pieces and delicate organic electronic tracks whilst the ever-present influence of the piano really gives it a human warmth and friendliness. You may remember how much I love the El Fog album, also on Moteer... well, I have to say I love this just as much. A pure and shining gem".

You’re going to love our defeatist attitude.

The Boats, The Remote Viewer, Then Dof…
