Info:
Timo Garcia first teamed up with Manu Delago back in 2008 after he first heard Manu's sublime piece of Hang playing on youtube called 'Mono Desire' (a clip that's now had over 3.5 million views!) and from that The Hang Drum Track (part 1) was born. This collaboration / rework featured on Timo's acclaimed debut artist album 'Wonderlust Bug', was heavily supported by the likes of Sasha and was remixed by Eric Kupper, Angel Anx, Matt Masters (Freerange) and Jet Project's Timmy Stewart. Manu has been on tour with Björk around the world and headlining festivals as her lead percussionist and drummer and is also working with the London Symphony Orchestra who are also a feature of The Hang Track Part II. The Hang instrument itself is handmade in Berne, Switzerland by Felix & Sabina PANArt (who now discourage the use of the word drum to avoid damage to the instrument and player) and which creates a wholly organic and ethereal melodic sound especially when played by one of the worlds finest musicians such as Manu Delago.
Anyone tapped into the pulse or keeping score of modern electronic music has probably heard of Timo Garcia. Straddling the fine line between underground darling and big room, big tune dance floor arsonist, his numerous releases on the circuit's biggest and best labels has been well documented as he kicks off 2012 ranked number 235 DJ in the world by the weekly Muso global top 1000 DJ poll (2nd January, 12)
In a world when DJs and producers are ten-a-penny and the hype machines peddle mediocrity as if it were something special, it can be difficult to separate the wheat from the chaff. As such, the currency de jour is consistency & recommendations...
