Threading The Needle
Words and Music By D. D'Ambrosia ©2012
How close can we get
Before we spread ourselves too thin
How long until the stitch begins to fail
Before the fabric tears.
How tight between the lines
Will we sacrifice our our days and lives
To live another life or die
By the hand that holds us to their words
We're threading needles with our nerves
And sewing patches on our hearts
We're living day to day
Embracing those who keep us in the dark
Wearing suits and paper hats
They speak of empty promises
Tearing fabric fabric at the seams
And leaving holes in all of us.
Leaving holes in all of us

@ Kibeja : Thanks for your awesome comments Chris. I was listening to Becca's track yesterday as a matter of fact. Really would love to see more of the family work this summer!! :-)

@ThE AsSocIaTIoN: :) Humble thanks to you sir. Thoroughly enjoyed your CD by the way.
@Kibeja: I asked Dan if he had been a writer in a past life or something. The lyrics seem to flow out of him like Lava sometimes.
@Kibeja: Supreme thanks to you Chris. AHHHH, the Summer is upon us once College lets out. I'm amazed each time we work together at what Dan has prepared musically and for production. The approach to the production of a particular track varies and each session takes on its own flow. Often he begins final mix-down during the recording session. I'm sure he can explain a lot better than I can. I'm just proud to be doing anything around you Cloudseeders. Have a wonderful Summer Chris.
@Oliver Sadie: LOL. Good one Oliver!! I don't even know how to respond. :-D
