    Colin C Dubhouse Mix

This is a mix that was inspired by a long, yet really.... really, really, REALLY fun night in Miami. There was a moment in time that Ill never forget, where all seemed right in the world, as we all watched the sun rise from the beach at the Eden Roc resort. One of those moments that really makes one appreciate friends, love, music and being alive.Miami is what turned me on to techhouse, and so since she showed me such a good time, I though Id pay some homage.Hope you enjoy.

@JimJones:the Original is clearly the verve, bitersweet symphony. He will have to give you the name of the remix though...

@TheSkandar: Thanks for the feedback, always appreciated! Yeah I'm quite familiar with leveling out mixes you silly goose. This aint my first rodeo. I think you are looking a the the Joris Voorn track 14 - 19 min which is recorded at a low intensity initially (very low kick) , but brings back to the same peak level as the rest of the mix at the end of the track. This initial, low intensity track was intentionally added. The idea was recreate the delicate beauty of the sunrise with the slammin' party nature of Miami by making a roller coaster of a mix and, not a straight , one level of intensity, banger.... give the mix a whirl via system and you will clearly hear that the only barely detectable level differences, really do add to the ebb and flow of the entire mix (It not like some are red line and some are barely audible as Ive seen some djs do). You should try some intensity variation in your mixes... it really can add a new level, and helps work the bar when working for a venue by giving a break so that people get a beer ( hence revenue) , then come back to dance when the intensity increases again. Thanks for the feed back though!

vacillate : 2. to sway unsteadily; waver; totter; stagger. .... as in the use of the word vacillate. such a vernacular can only come from a learned scholar. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH PPPFPFPFPFFFFFTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! meep meep

Your levels are fine Colin. Skandar's new at this I think.. experienced at hatin tho, thats fer sure. Skan, before trying to be a sound engineer on my man's public profile.. remember that what really matters is the 'meat' of the wav - which you can't see here, it has almost nothing to do with the wav outline (there's about one 4 min section of this entire set that might need a slight volume boost (clearly enough tho to script up some hatin'). close your eyes & open your ears.. & keep up the fake expertise/good hatin'. lmfao this guy.

Definitely captures that Miami style. After a quick listen my one contructive comment would be to watch your levels. If you look at the waveform the peaks are very inconsistent, which causes the energy level to vacillate. At the start of the mix pick exactly how many lights on the gain you want to peak at, and when you're cueing up the next track make sure it peaks at the same level. Otherwise sounds great man.

I found this set by searching "YoMamasCornbread," I wasn't expected a dope house set.. I was just looking for some homecooked southern-style cornbread.
