A voracious collector of vinyl with a passion for disco and house music, Colbourne fuses various genres together in his sets to represent over 35 years of club culture. Taking cues from DJ visionaries such as Larry Levan, Ron Hardy, and Shep Pettibone, Colbourne is not afraid to meld 80s pop extended mixes with underground NYC garage and Chicago house cuts. Furthermore, disco, whether its US classics on Salsoul, Prelude, West End, the UK jazz-funk sound, or Italo-disco, is prominently showcased in Colbourne’s sets.

Colbourne has lent his style and music to parties targeting straight and gay crowds; mainstream and underground audiences.

Past and current residencies include Color at the Milky Way, Solid! and FOXY at Zuzu, Group Hug at Enormous Room, Evolution and Mirrorshades at Good Life, and Mr. Goodbar at Club Oberon, AllSkate at Chez Vous roller rink. He has appeared at Rise, Phoenix Landing, and the Middlesex (as a recurring guest for Disco-nnection). He has also played in NYC and Montreal.
