About
I'm an indie music podcaster (downtempo, trip-hop, chillout, dub, psybient, fusion...etc.) since 2006. My podcast series, "Expand Your Musical Horizons" is in iTunes. My listeners are in more than 40 countries worldwide.
I've played hundreds of tracks from hundreds of artists -- from those who are somewhat well-known to new artists on last.fm, MySpace, Jamendo, SoundCloud, or netlabels around the world ... or who release their music with a Creative Commons license on the Internet archives. The main criteria is that the music moves me, and that the artists are willing to share a track through a non-traditional venue like a podcast. I promote artists who aren't yet trying to sell their work, and also artists who *are* selling their tracks and who want to reach new listeners in new ways.
I publish URLs (and where-to-buy) links inside the podcast itself and also in the tracklists on my website/episode blog. This is non-commercial venture and the whole point is to change the musical landscape: give control back to the artists and to the audience.
