* The first State of the Union speech of President Obama's second term is in the books. According to one new poll, it got mostly positive reaction from Americans surveyed. In his SOTU address, the President threw out a handful of key numbers. Those like 9 - as in $9, the President's proposal for a higher federal minimum wage. But it's a number already getting pushback from lawmakers like House Speaker John Boehner:

"When you raise the price of employment, guess what? You get less of it."

* It's the day after the conclusion of what's being called the largest manhunt in Los Angeles police department history. Authorities in southern California are now trying to confirm if the charred remains of a shootout suspect inside a cabin are those of fugitive and former L.A. cop Christopher Dorner. The timeline of what went down is now beginning to come to light a day later. Rick Heltebrake was camping in the area, and encountered Dorner:

“And he just kind of came out of the snow at me with his gun at my head. I stopped, put my hands up, he said 'I don't want to hurt you. Just get out and start walking up the road'.'’

* Tomorrow is supposed to be the ultimate day of love for couples: February 14 - Valentine's Day. That means if you haven't already done so, it's close to the wire for making plans with your sweetheart. But CNN's Eatocracy blog editor Kat Kinsman says you need not obsess over making dinner reservations:

"It's so romantic to be cooked for, or even if you don't do the cooking yourself, to order-in and just have a really great private meal together."
