In an election year when freedom is a hot topic, residents of the remote Rosebud Sioux Reservation worry that they don’t have even basic freedoms. The Reservation in South Dakota faces staggering problems with poverty and joblessness but residents say they also live without a proper justice system. Too many end up in jails, they say. Most have stories of relatives who faced mistreatment at the hands of police, mistreatment that went unaddressed while their relatives sit in prison. CNN’s Lisa Desjardins and Emma Lacey-Bordeaux report on gut wrenching stories and harsh allegations.

@Mafioso aka Mailmann: Thanks for listening. By shining a light on this story, we certainly don't mean to imply there aren't similar problems and struggles with other communities. Do you think the problems are exactly the same? What about solutions?
