My name is Claudia Sorvillo, i'm a songwriter living in southern Italy, I started my activity as a singer when I was a child.
I studied singing with Cristina Florio (teacher of many artists of the italian scene), and enriched my live experience during the years taking part of several festivals, and singing competitions as the "Festival degli Sconosciuti" of the Italian singer Teddy Reno, the "Accademia della canzone di Sanremo", The "Centocittà RCA" prize (broadcasted on the Italian national tv channel Rai 2) and the Rockin Napoli 2006 winning the "Best Voice Award"
With my songs I partecipated in "Premio nazionale per la canzone d'autore al femminile Bianca d'Aponte" and several compilations.
In 2007 in collaboration with Salvio Vassallo i produced "La mia generazione ferma", consiting of 12 inedited songs, of which i'm author of both music and lyrics.
In 2007 I took part to the famous Italian saxophonist James Senese's tour as the opening band; I played, with artists like: Stadio, Mogol, Masini, at the "Festa degli Studenti" in Piazza del Plebiscito, broadcasted by Radioitalia TV. I sang at the "Festa Europea della Musica" and at the "Concerto per Scampia", with the most famous names of the Neapolitan music scene. I was also a guest of the "Inedito per Maria Festival" in Terni and of "A world of peace 2008"
From 2008 I collaborate in the project of the composer-guitarist Riccardo Prencipe Corde Oblique, recording the songs "Flying" and "La gente che resta" in the album "The Stones of Naples" (Prikosnovenie 2009) and the song "Jigsaw falling into place" and some backing track in the album "A hail of bitter almonds" (Prikosnovenie/Audioglobe - France; Progressivamente/Suono rec. - Italia; Shadowplay rec. - Russia - 2011)
With Corde Oblique i sang as the main vocalist in the tour 2009, in Italy (Milan, Rome, Florence, Naples ) and abroad: Paris (La Locomotive), Clisson, Leipzig (Wave Gotik Treffen 2009), Frankfurt, Huy; Sharing the stage with many artists of the Italian and European alternative scene like: Opeth, Anathema, Ashram, Argine and L'Ame Immortelle.
In 2010 we performed at the University of studies of Florence and Prato.
In 2011 we performed at the "Casa del Jazz" in Rome, at the "Adriatico Mediterraneo" festival in Ancona, and the "Montemartini Museum" in Rome and at the "Capodimonte Museum" in Napoli.
In 2011 my song "Noises" was remixed by Silicon Dust and took place in their Album "Different Universe Storytellers" (Helikonia Plus! / A Buzz Supreme / UpTurn Records ). I also sang "Goodmorning" published in the same album.
