Is Canada’s post-secondary system out of touch with the needs of their students? Is there a better way for students to access knowledge? This episode of the CJSR Edition features two individuals who are challenging the status quo of our contemporary education system. First, we speak with Bill Morrison, co-author of The Walrus article entitled ‘The Uses and Abuses of University’. In the article, Morrison argues that the university system is misaligned with the current needs of it’s students.
Then, in the second part of the program we hear a keynote address delivered by Sebastian Thrun — Google Vice-President, Stanford University researcher, and founder of the online education organization Udacity — who explains how online education could have a revolutionizing force in the future of higher education.
