Beginning his DJ career in early 2001, Citizen.com has been hustling around Melbourne pushing the various sounds of Broken-beat. Concentrating on fulltime DJing, event production, management and music production as a partner in the ROCK LIKE THIS crew; Citizen has been responsible for many various nights around Melbourne including hugely successful break-beat weekly BASS CAMP at Lounge.
Running for 3 years, Bass Camp cemented Citizens presence in the Melbourne scene, giving rise to more residencies included regular gigs at Revolver, Bimbo Delux, Lounge, Prince of Whales, La Di Da, Lucky Coq,E55, Workshop, F4; now New Gurnica, and many more.
By this stage Citizens music direction had grown into all reaches of electronic music, playing gigs regularly pushing the sounds of Breaks, Bass, Tech House, Disco, Hip-hop, Funk, Ghetto Funk, Drum and Bass and everything in between, and supporting internationals to match.
Over the journey Citizen has also included into his repertoire a bigger role in events management with the Rock Like This Label to produce even more events and nights around town; namely Brown Alley where the Rock Like This teamed up to produce events with international acts across many different generes. Such acts include: Stanton Warriors, Krafty Kuts, A-Skills, James Lavelle, MJ Cole, Scratch Perverts, LTJ Bukem, Deekline and Wizzard, Elite Force, Kenny Ken, DJ SS, Fort Knox 5, Freestlyers, and many more. At these events you will often see Citizen.com playing on the main stage, always keeping the crowd glued to the dance floor. Additionally 2012 seen the release of the first Rock Like This CD which Citizen.com was responsible for mixing and compiling the first CD.
Into the present, Citizen holds up residencies all over Melbourne, notably monthly events at Workshop and E55, Sunday sessions at Peacock Hotel, and other big Rock Like This events. Plus you can also check him out on KISS FM every Thursday from 2pm – 4pm for ROCK LIKE THIS radio playing beats/breaks and Basslines.
