Labor Day Special Edition--Something Rotten at Palermo's Pizza

In our special Labor Day Edition of the podcast, we get a full report on the Palermo's strike with Christine Neuman-Ortiz, Executive Director of Voces de la Frontera. The heroic struggle of the Palermo mostly Latino workers to win the right to form a union has captured national attention. The panel also discusses Attorney General Van Hollen's latest attempt to to disenfranchise voters ahead of the November election, the fallout from the Republican National Convention, including misleading and alarming statements by Paul Ryan, and the latest dismal economic fallout from Scott Walker's failing jobs policies.

Action of the Week: Support Palermo's workers
Costco is the largest distributor of Palermo's frozen pizza, sold under the Kirkland label, and therefore a primary target of the national boycott campaign of Palermo's products. If you are a Costco member, or would like to become one in order to make your voice heard, please let us know. The campaign needs you help to pressure Costco.
