If 2012 was a big year, 2013 is going to be huge.
Having already had 2 singles signed to Laidback Luke’s Mixmash Records (“Get It On” and “Alpha”), a new residency for Ibiza super club Pacha’s Sydney home at the Ivy and his 9th headlining tour of Brazil over the Christmas/New Year, Christian Luke continues to triumphantly go about his business and seemingly effortlessly raise an already impossibly high bar.
Worldwide praise and support from the big names including David Guetta hasn’t hurt his Beatport and ARIA club chart rankings either. Collaborating with the likes of GT and Mr Wilson, “Begin” (out on Ministry of Sound) sat at #3 in the charts for just over 4 weeks and his remix for fellow Aussie, Jono Fernandez managed to hold steady at #2. Killer remixes for the likes of Kaskade, Dirty South, Mark Brown & Juan Kidd and Hook N Sling have managed to consistently secure Beatport top 10’s but it was Christian’s remix of Kurd Maverick’s “Blue Monday” that hit the #1 spot on the ARIA club charts for a solid 8 weeks and gained the attention of international tastemaker and host of the heavily influential BBC 1 Radio show.
Whether rocking clubs across the world or headlining festivals, Christian Luke’s name has become synonymous with quality and enviable slots at Creamfields, Stereosonic have become standard. Internationally and nationally Christian continues to pack out some of biggest dance floors around from Brisbane’s Family nightclub, Green Valley, Balneario Camboriu and Club Faces in Portugal to name but a few.
Despite the extensive touring and the seemingly endless production Christian still finds the time to host his internationally broadcast weekly radio show “Universal Rhythm”. Broadcast aound Brazil and on Novanation in Australia, Universal Rhythm will be in its third year next year and continues to expand his fan base worldwide.
Still in his 20’s and hitting new heights at such a rapid pace, we can only imagine what the next few years holds for this internationally acclaimed and highly respected producer.
