Christopher Çolak aka Chriak is an Istanbul based graphic & type designer, music writer, radio programmer and DJ. He has contributed more than 300 articles and interviews, including top notch producers, bands and artists from all around the world.

Christopher Çolak is the founder of the bilingual online music publication HalfStereo. He is also a freelance writer at TimeOut Istanbul Magazine and he writes weekly feeds at Le Cool's Istanbul edition.

His radio show 'fraktal' is live every Tueasday night around 20:00-21:00 hours (local time) at Dinamo 103.8 FM Istanbul since 2005, promising the best and unreleased releases of various electronic dance music spectrums.

'Login' is the alternate and is boradcasted live every Saturday night between 23:00-00:00 hours (local time) this time dealing with the more experimental and uppercases of electronic music since late 2002. From old school jungle to dubstep, from post folk to noise is where you may lead during the show.

From the beginning to the end, he has been a music writer for the famous Basatap Magazine and IKSV's (Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts) Istanbuldostlari.org projects. He was the editor of one of the best and first clubbing & electronic portals in Turkey, legendary Clubintro.

Now he resides under his own HalfStereo and continues his radio programs and occasionaly DJs on some selected events. His sets are never linear, going amongst disco, minimal tech house to deep house, nujazz and even MDR style techno and some surprizes! His sound is more likely the mixture of Clone/Rotterdam sound blended with the Berliner minimal and techy edge. But he can also play a well defined nujazz or nudisco set as well. No matter what genre it is, good music and good groove is the key.

He has played with Apparat, Jeff Samuel, Andy Vaz, Martin Eyerer, Michal Ho and most lately Vector Lovers at various locations which were and are the hot spots of Istanbul night life.
