Chris James returns to Anabatic after a busy fall and winter with his Heartache and 808's ep. A sick two track EP with the kind of low end that we love at Anabatic. This EP really showcases Chris's development as a producer as he delves into new sounds and rhythms and heavy bass . The first track 'Play With Me' is an 808 break beat monster that bangs it out until a nice and deep break takes you away on a journey into the abyss, and then drops you right back into the heavy bass to keep you going. It's the kind of track that can be played in the middle of banging set or a deep set. On the second track we are given 'No More Secrets.' It brings you right back to those old school rave days with a nostalgic chord progression that gives you chills. It then drops you right in a nice pumping 808 bouncing bass line that will keep the dance floor going all night. We can't say how much more we love this release.
