CHRIS ENDO HISTORY

Chris was classically trained in percussion for 10 years before he started playing an African Djembé in clubs. Ge got his start in Banff, Alberta, Canada at the Hoodoo Lounge. After rocking the bar his first night Chris was asked to play every week, and it was such a success that he figured: "If this works here... why not try the dance capital of the world?"... Ibiza.

His first season in Ibiza was the craziest and most humbling experience of his life, and after a rocky start of broken gear, stolen wallets, and false friends things finally started to look up. He managed to sneak his drum into clubs like Pacha, Privilege and Space and crashed the sets of DJs such as Erick Morillo, Fatboy Slim, Sander Kleinenberg and Steve Lawler, with security just assuming he was supposed to be there. Sasha actually cut the music in then out to let a few little solos echo over the dancefloor, giving Chris a nod and a little smile before blasting out the rest of his set.

Chris returned the next summer with a little more money and a lot higher expectations, but again the big clubs were reluctant to hire someone with a microphone attached to such a loud instrument. Still, there were more than enough smaller clubs, boat parties and bars to make it a worth wile summer. His knack for crashing parties hadn't died, as he once managed to convince the VIP security in Privilege that he was definitely allowed to drum up there, and gave the richest of the rich a night they would never forget.

Instead of going home, Chris had a work visa for England and continued his upward climb to success in Manchester. Having moved in with DJ Wudz, one of Manchesters most experienced and talented DJs, Chris picked up beat-matching like he'd been doing it his whole life (and in a way, that wasn't far from the truth). His drumming career took off and was getting booked solid every weekend, and was playing special events with the likes of Angello & Ingrosso, Harry "Choo Choo" Romero and John DiAgo in clubs such as Sankeys (Manchester), Mission (Leeds), and Venus (Manchester).

After a year and a half in the UK, Chris returned home for a month... and stayed for many more. Three days before his return flight back to England he broke his leg snowboarding so badly the doctors said they were close to amputating at the knee. Thanks to modern medicine, and Chris' "whatever, I can DJ from a wheelchair" attitude, his leg stayed attached and thus begun the long road to recovery. Crutches didn't stop him from performing, and only 5 months after his injury he was drumming in Heaven alongside Martin Villeneuve, at Fiesta Canada Day Party, and any other chance he had to get back into doing what he loved.

After a year and a half, it was time to return to Ibiza to finish what he had started a long time ago. This time he brought a modified drum stand so he could DJ and drum at the same time. He became a manager and resident DJ/drummer of The Zoo Project, throwing out huge tunes and massive drum beats every week alongside DJs such as Monica Kruz, System of Survival, Mr C and many more. He guest DJ'd in Eden, Es Viva, Bay Bar, and countless house parties, honing his performance and mixing skills to a level he had never enjoyed before. By the time he returned home Chris had shaped his performance into an unforgettable mix of sights and sounds, bringing out the best in any crowd.

Since returning home in October 2008, Chris has performed as a DJ/percussionst for Heaven Nightclub, Mercury Lounge, Buddha Bar and Lotus Lounge. His new project, Pandora's Juke Box, is a monthly DJ chart that features his favourite tunes of the month, with members encouraged to add their own content.
