Chris Air started deejaying in the early nineties as Sir Djance with spherical ambient and subtle electronic music. In the same year, the ambient crew "Unrealistic 3rd Truth" U3T was founded and the journey thru the landscapes of ambient spheres and smooth beats and basslines began. After two years of experience and experiments in studio electronics, the first parties with dj sets and live acts came up all over Switzerland and Chris brought warm feelings into cold, sterile rooms - his aim was always to fill the air with harmonic vibes. The trip grooved on with some stops at spherical british breakbeats, early hardtrance tunes and experimental electronic clicks and cuts. Playing in different rooms, such as main dancefloors, secret rooms or chill out areas was always in his mind, whether playing records or live acts with U3T. Thru the years, he discovered his love to minimal music and till today he likes to push the audience with minimal rhythms and essential basic grooves combined with warm, harmonic elements. In the year 2000, after a couple of selfmade events, the "Glücksscherben" collective was formed and several party series in different clubs all over Basle are still running till this day. Since 2004, Chris rediscovered the enjoyment of playing live gigs and started again to produce his own music with charming grooves and fluffy basslines. After some live gigs with 'Die Bademeister' and 'Pumpernickel', his solo work 'Glücksscherben EP' on the Berlin based label Eintakt brings all together in summer 2006. After a busy year in 2007 with a new studio location, a lot of live gigs and new collaborations, the 'Breat Gritten EP' on Eintakt was released with catalogue number 19 on beginning of 2008. As well as the 'Gluecksscherben EP' was repressed due to great demand. Get a small sample of his sound to get to know his groove...
