On the 19th of December we celebrated at an Athens club, our web radio, POPLIE, 5th anniversary. As part of this anniversary, there was an exhibition from artists that were influenced by poplie.

As a feedback, the poplie producers had to make a mixtape, influenced by the artists' works.

For me the inspiration was Despina Tsirigou's attached foto. More info about Despina's works here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tsirigou/

When I saw this painting I immediately thought of Almodovar's movie "Live Flesh/Carne trémula". I "quoted" sound-wise some very important moments of the movie, and created along with some music selection my own Soundtrack/mixtape for Poplie's Anniversary.

Tracklist:
1. Almodovar’s Live Flesh – Penelope is pregnant
2. Don Rendell & Ian Carr Quintet – Dusk Fire
3. Almodovar’s Live Flesh – Elena tiene una pistola
4. Los Crich – All strung aut over you
5. Almodovar’s Live Flesh – Bath licking
6. Tricky – Poems
7. Almodovar’s Live Flesh – Biff singer
8. Zomby – As Darkness falls
9. Almodovar’s Live Flesh – Cohones truth
10. Shadowlust – Devotion
11. Almodovar’s Live Flesh – Somos
12. Dean Blunt – And I’ll show you heaven if you let me
13. Almodovar’s Live Flesh – Closing to the end_The cry
14. Virile Games – Plague Saints II
15. Almodovar’s Live Flesh – New Beginnings
16. Lustmord – Babel

The titles of movie's scenes are my own. Not big guess though...

Njoy!
