After a few years DJing in Goth clubs, Aviv was turned on to the sound of Psy Trance in 2006. Not long after, the intense interest in production hit and he dived headfirst into a world of digital audio, sequencers and synthesizers, carefully crafting psychedelic stories to amplify the imagination.

Chemogen first appeared as a DJ on NYE 2007 and quickly became a regular act at many of Cape Town's venues. In 2009, after honing his production skills as part of a collaborative project, he unleashed the first solo live set.

Since then he's developed a stellar reputation as both a talented DJ as well as a meticulous producer, putting out chart topping releases through One Foot Groove - who he's been signed to since 2007 - and performing for renowned promoters such as Vortex, Rezonance, Organik, Psynopticz, Disasterpeace, The Village, Sensitive, MMD, Beartrap, Mungus Fungus, Bent & Twisted and many more.

In 2012, he was proud to announce his new position as a resident DJ of Beartrap Productions.

Using various forms of manipulation the Chemogen live set is constantly tweaked in real time. From loops, sound effects and synths to live mixing, mindbending effects and psychedelics. This ensures that no two sets will ever be alike.
