Chase Skylar is a seasoned disc-jockey and entertainer with a background in radio marketing, public affairs and sports announcing. He received training from the United States Air Force’s Defense Information School with a major in journalism and media relations. Having traveled from his hometown of Orlando, Florida to Virginia Beach, Virginia, Chase left the Air Force at the rank of Staff Sergeant but not before he was a heavily published writer, media consultant and worked with major TV companies like ABC, NBC, CNN and Fox News as well as major magazine publications such as Men’s Health, Men’s Vogue and Best Life Magazine. On his last day of Air Force duty, he auditioned for a local TV competition called the “Face of Fox” where he was named the people’s choice winner with over 200,000 online votes. Chase Skylar had the opportunity to be the on-field and on-ice announcer for triple-a affiliate baseball team, the Norfolk Tides as well as the Norfolk Admirals hockey team for more than 80 games collectively. His passion for music hit an all-time high when Chase was hired by a five radio-station-cluster to be a marketing executive and was given the ability to work with local companies and major recording studio artists to accomplish their marketing goals. Growing up with a wide appreciation for music, he can entertain any crowd with a musical vocabulary dating back to the 1950’s. Chase Skylar has been a top-40 DJ for numerous high-capacity clubs throughout Virginia including Luckie’s Party Bar, Manhattan’s Deli, Time Lounge, Cabo Cafe, Bayside Bar, Central 111, Venue 112, Diesel Rock’n Country Bar and Baxter’s. He currently holds the residency DJ job at CineBistro, where he has been throwing the party since November 2011. Along with Chase’s ability to move a crowd, he also has graduated from the Virginia Beach Funny Bone’s Stand-up Comedy School twice and performed on-stage numerous times including a headlining show. Chase still continues to host and DJ events throughout the area and looks forward to future entertainment opportunities.
