Chase & Patrol nait à l’hiver 2011 de la rencontre improbable de Ian Frigon et de Dominic Anctil; l’un, fougueux et avide de groove pesants et dépouillés, l’autre, plus cérébral, en quête de basses bien rondes et d’envolées harmoniques. Leurs sons respectifs, avec pour catalyseur leur ouverture à se laisser influencer par l’autre, se fusionnent rapidement en un style alliant deep house et tech-house, avec certains accents techno.
Au fil de soirées privées au cours de l’été 2011 et de quelques évènements dans des établissements montréalais, dont les défunts O.P. Bar et Le Parking, l’identité Chase & Patrol s’impose d’elle-même et les deux justiciers se savent maintenant investis d’une mission. Armés de tracks toujours plus percutantes et raffinées, les acolytes parcourent depuis leur Beat District, bien déterminés à y faire régner l’ordre et la joie de vivre, à débusquer les bombes, à démasquer le party animal qui se cache au fond de chacun. Leur devise : groove, plaisir, authenticité.

Chase & Patrol emerges in the winter of 2011 from a chance encounter between Ian Frigon and Dominic Anctil. The former displays a fiery spirit matched with a deep-seated hunger for heavy, raw beats; the latter contributes a more analytical approach and his love for shapely bass sounds and melodic sweeps. Fueled by their inclination for dialog and cooperation, this duo quickly merged their respective sounds into a harmonious blend of deep house and tech house, with hints of techno.
Throughout a string of private summer parties and select events in such Montreal establishments as the late O.P. Bar and Parking Nightclub, the Chase & Patrol identity imposed itself, charging our officers with a mission. Since then, armed with nothing but hard hitting and refined tracks, the two allies keep vigil on the Beat District, determined to maintain order and delight, land some strategic hits and unmask the party animal hidden within every one. Their motto: groove, enjoyment, authenticity.
