Based outta SASKATOON, SK, CHARLY HUSTLE is a DJ/Producer/Record-Collector/B-Boy/Intaker-of-fine-light-beers. He's been djing since 2002, and steadily built a fan base and a reputation for exquisite musical taste while moving butts.

While still a 5 year old boy, CHARLY HUSTLE saw FLASHDANCE for the first time, and instantly began a life-long love affair with (Jennifer Beals) B-Boying and the music that inspired B-Boys...FUNK, HIP-HOP and DISCO. Since those early days of dancing on the cement with his size 6X overalls and fake pro-keds, music has been an essential and powerful part of his life. Whether he was stealing his father's led zeppelin and billy squire records or receiving detention in grade 1 for writing the lyrics for "drugs in my pocket" by the monks, music was all around him, all the time.

Around 1997, this passion for music flourished into many new outlets...a radio show at the community station CFCR 90.5 FM, forming a new band (the PLAN) with some of the city's most prolific and talented musicians, and a "DJ" gig at a local pub where he put cds into a 5-disc changer, and sat and drank for the rest of the evening. From these humble beginnings, grew a greater hunger to express and share his love of music.

In 2002 with the essential help of nationally respected DJ, the Gaff, CHARLY HUSTLE bought two turntables, a mixer and got to work learning the skills of djing/mixing/scratching. Through the magic of hip-hop, practice and well...magic, he has matured (professionally - yes, personally - mehhh) into the best DJ in Canada named after a baseball player. Period. Suck it DJ Derek Jeter.

Over the years many people have allowed him to be on stage with them, and even PLAY! He has had the pleasure of rocking nights with some of Canada's and the world's best partyrockers...Skratch Bastid, the EH! TEAM Djs, Smalltown Romeo, the Freshest, Jayceeoh, Starting from Scratch, DJ Nu-Mark, the Glass, YACHT, Jon H (of Fort Knox Five), Mat the Alien, Sammy Bananas, Top Billin, Champion, as well as many other talented DJs and bands.

CHARLY HUSTLE has hosted many regular nights also...the Throwdown (with the Gaff), On Rotation, the Get Together (with the Gaff), Ice Cream Social - Saskatoon (with Conrad Devine). Recently he has helped start a new Saturday night at nationally recognized club, SCRATCH in Saskatoon. It is Called the SOCIAL LIST. It is awesome. People dance and also have fun. He's been one of SCRATCH's resident DJs from the beginning and helped build it's reputation as one of the best in CANADA. That's like a whole country.

Although his first loves have always been FUNK, DISCO, BOOGIE and HIP-HOP, he is equally willing and adept at playing HOUSE, NEW WAVE, ELECTRO-FUNK and REGGAE. What we're saying here is that he does the CLUB/B-Boy/Paradise Garage thing with the best of 'em, but he also has all of the Talking Heads' records, knows how to JACK and has smoked pot.
