The last few years have been good for Charlie. From running a successful midweek night to playing at top London clubs such as Pacha, The Cross and The Ministry Of Sound and warming up for Erick Morillo it is clear to see that he has the talent required to play alongside some of the biggest dj’s in the world at the best venues.
It all started back at school when everyone was into rave music, Charlie was taught the basics of beat matching and ran with it. Before leaving school at the age of 18 he had been approached to dj at all night raves but due to age restrictions could accept the offers. From here, Charlie moved to university to continue with his education at Bournemouth University, whilst taking the scenic route through university Charlie discovered firstly trance and techno, but more importantly house where he developed a great passion for the music.
Where Charlie gained his first foot on the ladder was when he started off a hugely successful midweek night at a small Bournemouth club which developed into a Saturday night residency. From this point people started to take notice and Charlie was asked to play for Maison alongside Underwater Records' Paul Jackson. The massively popular London promotions company Halo Promo also picked up on Charlies talent and he has been regularly booked for their London and Bournemouth events playing at Pacha, The Cross and more recently The Ministry Of Sound. In 2005 Charlie was also picked by a panel of judges to play on the Space Terrace in Ibiza as part of a competition prize but due to unforeseen circumstances couldn’t accept. Last year (2006) Charlie was also approached by Tribal Session and appeared firstly on the same bill as Mylo, Linus Loves, The Plump DJ’s and Nic Fanciulli and then later on the year he was asked to play the warm up for Erick Morillo for a sell out event.
2007 was also a very successful year for Charlie. He has played numerous times for Halo Promo at The Cross, the Miami Winter Music Conference, Klute and Dusk Till Dawn in Bournemouth. At the start of the summer 2020 was opened, the club itself is one the best nightclub in Bournemouth and has attracted massive names which Charlie has been playing alongside. To name just a few is Erick Morillo, Simian Mobile Disco and Fedde Le Grand. Further to this Charlie has also had the Opportunity to play at David Vincent's Club; Sankeys in Manchester with Oliver Huntemann. Charlie also played a peak time set at Scala for Casa Promo alongside Greg Kobe which went down a treat. Charlie closed off 2007 with a couple of unforgettable parties, playing at one of the last parties at The Cross, London and playing alongside David Guetta & Sebastian Léger for 2020 rocks.
So far in 2008 Charlie started the year in style at the Halo new year’s day party at the Island, London and has continued playing in Bournemouth for a number of new nights; Funky Munky, On & On, Elegantly Wasted events where he got the change to play after Sasha and a series of boat parties by The Diplomats.
Since 2008 Charlie has continued playing at a number of places across the UK and has also been playing on a number of online radio stations, he has also held down a number of regular gigs currently playing weekly at the Orange Rooms and Klute for their most popular weekly event Coco Coture, alongside this Charlie plays at V and Klute monthly on a Saturday, bi monthly for Dandy Kid Records tour party’s and runs his own night “Static” in Bournemouth.
In the last few years I (Charlie) have quietened down things on the dj front to concentrate on a career but I still love djing and collecting music. I continue to push out new mixes. I hope you enjoy
