Whilst recording some Drums in an old brick warehouse for the up and coming 3rd Eastern album we experienced a large aftershock.. (5.8 in magnitude). Sadly I missed recording it. We sat outside for a while and convinced ourselves it was ok to re enter the old building and continue our project... I was rolling as we were undertaking some line and level checking... this time we got it. 6.0 magnitude in a room full of kegs and bottles.
The Eastern and The Sitting Room Studios were involved in recording 'The Harbour Union' Album earlier this year which is a CD where 100% of proceeds go back to those in need or effected from the quakes. You cant easily tell because the mics were close to the drums but it was LOUD.. much louder than the full drum kit!
