Born in Houston, Texas, Charles Silva Holt took to music at an early age. He spent his childhood on piano benches in the Northeastern region of Brazil, where he grew up. Piano keys quickly turned into drum sticks, guitar strings, and levels on a soundboard. Charlie spent nights beating on congas and thumping on bass strings. And as the sounds from his room grew, so did his love for different genres. He began to collaborate with bands and artists ranging from Reggae, Hip-Hop, Rock, R&B, and Maracatu. He traded in the rainforest for the concrete jungle and moved to Brooklyn, NY to perfect his craft. There, in his New York City studio, Charlie is sought out by artists and producers to create the next big beat, lick, or hook.

Each note, each hit, each wave of sound is an inspiration to Charlie. To him, music is something you feel.
