Ed Ayers started his career as a studio session trumpet player in the late 50s. Playing with names like Aretha Franklin, Roy Ayers and Herbie Hancock amongst others. He became one of the most looked after session musicians and a "must have"in any studio recording of a wind section. In the 70s he acquired great arranging skills, writing great pieces for many of the big names in the music scene. He also acquired a deep understanding of a diverse range of synthesizers, drum machines and other analog gadgets.

In the mid 80´s while djing as a stand in for Larry Levan at the Paradise Garage (while Larry was snorting heroin with Grace Jones) he became one of the big underground names of the proto house scene. On one of the legendary nights he span records, he met no other then his future wife Agneta Fältskog (also known as one of the ABBA members) Together they moved to Stockholm and made loads of babies.

Now days he spends most of his time doing re edits of his favorite tracks and circuit bending all of his VST plugins. As he recently been diagnosed with acute schizophrenia, his therapist recommended working on his new label Subsoil Recordings and its releases as a mean to not become totally "insane"
