I'm an oddity...lol, I started learning the pipes at the age of 11 but had undiagnosed dyslexia (recognized at 35) so I listened to how a tune was played, but the manuscript was too hard to read. as a result, 90% of the tunes I know, I don't know the names to them. I learned a lot whilst busking around the country, always willing to have jamming sessions but they seemed 1 sided when up against the pipes (except for djambe's) so I started playing with sound systems in London with DJ's spinning all kinds of crazy sounds which fitted the pipes well. Combining that with the influences of (the late but still a bagpiping god) Gordon Duncan and (equally) Martyn Bennett and the love of a phat beat to play or freestyle with.....well, that's the direction I'm going in.....
