@Toya Elise: Absolutely! A great song could just as easily be overlooked for poor quality. Most A&Rs/Execs won't even entertain it. Don't sacrifice your talent!

Again, I think this needs to be taken to a studio. That is very important in professionally presenting yourself. Your content sounds good though.
