@rumpelfilter: We'll cover all kinds of things, but just as clarification ... the MeeBlip was in development prior to the Shruthi-1, and was not inspired by the Shruthi. The original project that inspired both was the AVRSynth, though the MeeBlip has evolved quite a lot from that. I said neither first nor only, but what is unique about the MeeBlip is that it's open source hardware; Shruthi-1 is not. That's really the new idea, in that there haven't been digital synths set up for hacking in that way, at least not cheap and open ones.
