CATO CANARI - 8 - New album out now - Press release
Tokyo based Norwegian expat Cato Canari's first international long play album, 8, is a remarkable record that creates new life for night clubbers and headphone listeners alike. Current, simple and passionate. Mainly recorded and mixed in Tokyo, but some sounds are made in London, Stockholm and Oslo. Check the infectious piano loop and extraordinary vocals from Swedish singer and film maker Johan Fredrik Jonason on "Fingers Around You feat. Jonason". And get taken away by the sugary themed pop influenced "We Are Together" long version, vocals by Norwegian discovery Marianne Birkeland Valdal, or just indulge in the instrumental mid-tempo electronic emotions of "Remocon". Outstanding "Red Skyline", with guitars from Japanese/Canadian pro club guitarist Thomas Sawada, is like a Balearic beach sunrise set in Tokyo's backstreets of Shinjuku. Final track "Dei Elektriske Fuglane" is a folk rock inspired ballad-ish analogue/computer experiment made with the help of long time cooperator and magic sound maker Blekken. Epic and simplistic cover arts from Karacop, made in Athens.
Tracks from the album are already played by hot show Kissy Sell Out on BBC Radio One, Axel Boman (Sweden's new star DJ), DJ Duck Rock (Japan) and so on.
OUT NOW ON iTUNES, BEATPORT, SPOTIFY, AMAZON, JUNODOWNLOAD AND EVERYWHERE ELSE ONLINE.
