Cat from Japan is a one man band project created by Ugis Kagainis (LV) started at 2006. He creates music by using only his guitar and voice, colored by analog effects (pedal board), ending into a looping station. Playing allways is improvisation. The structure of songs is made up by recording sounds (lead, base, rithm, solo, voice) into a looper and playing or singing over it. Result allways is different, unpredictable for artist himself, strongly influenced by atmosphere and listeners nearby. Cat from Japan is a live performance artist mainly giving non-frontal concerts at excibitions, art galleryes, event openings/closings, underground stages.
