Cass/Flick is the new name for the Caff/Flick label, taken from our cassette imprint which will be the new focus for future releases. Established in London in 2006, the first Caff/Flick Compliation brought together tracks by a diverse range of artists from the UK, EU and US and was the springboard for the original site which launched later that year. Since then the CF label has grown to specialise in one-off limited edition vinyl, cdr and cassette releases, with an emphasis on mixing new talent (CHAMPAGNE DIAMOND/THE BRILLIANT LIGHT, FREAK PAEANS, WHAT'S UP?) with higher profile names (MT. EERIE, HIGH PLACES, NO KIDS, LUCKY DRAGONS). Since 2007 the site has also played host to an ongoing series of guest-curated podcasts including selections by label artists as well as special editions from other labels (K RECORDS, UPSET! THE RHYTHM, TOMLAB) and people we just happen to like (FUTURE ISLANDS, FORMER GHOSTS). Most recently since 2009 the Lapsed Blog has set out to orientate the music and visual culture of Belfast (our home town!) within the wider underground scene.
