'Prophetic Dreams' is German producer Axel Bartsch's first single of 2012 - it’s the follow up to his critically acclaimed album 'Experiment Musik', and is named after the dreams that can inspire psychic visions. Reaching beyond the ordinary boundaries of our subconscious, prophetic dreams are mementos of a vivid mind, originating from deep within where our greatest architect resides. Most people can remember at least one dream that gave them a new understanding of life or touched them in some way. "I am happy if I can touch someone with my music, like music touches me." Axel Bartsch affirms. His music contains a special warmth that distances his tracks from the usual DJ tools. 'Prophetic Dreams' is consequently quite a fitting title then for the new single, released first on vinyl January 24th on Axel's Berlin-based imprint Sportclub. The EP is backed up by a number of distinctive remixers including Berlin breakthrough act AKA AKA with Thalstroem, Pampa Records artist Axel Boman with an epic 13 minute megamix, and UK-based producer Matthew Sargeant.

„It's always a pleasure to see the masters not only maintain their level, but continue to evolve without cracking along the way. Axel Bartsch disregards the loudness/fatness war of recent times and bucks ubiquitous trends. Instead, his pieces have character and charm, like "Prophetic Dreams"... a magical, subtle hit.“ – GROOVE MAGAZINE

'Prophetic Dreams' is the uplifting kind of party track you’d hope to expect from Axel Bartsch! An organic deep house track with lush pads and elegantly poised synth lines that swell to life, intertwine and meld together under whipping claps and long hypnotizing build-ups. The playful alternating sounds and classic house percussion brings perfect dynamic to the whole. Flawless!

AKA AKA & Thalstroem take things up a notch, adapting part of the original melody into a dominating electro styled saw-tooth bassline. Around it, the Burlesque Music founders do what they do best and build up a fast paced raved out remix for primetime dancefloors. Swedish darling Axel Boman unleashes his creativity on the flipside and turns 'Prophetic Dreams' completely upside down with a very organic thirteen-minute megamix. Boman connects disjointed fragments of the original track together into a dubby, extraordinary journey that only an artist of his calibre can imagine. Tender strings flicker eerily left and right, lending the mysterious vibe of a David Lynch movie. Matthew Sargeant returns to the dancefloor with a big New York house styled remix featuring a massive piano breakdown and acid lines.
