" Caroline Lerate, a Belgian/French DJ, professionally known as DJ Carolina Cartell was
born on February 19. Although Carolina spent most of her young life between Brussels
and Paris, a strong Spanish and Moroccan heritage surfaces later in her professional life
as a music producer.

Cradled by music since her childhood, Carolina spent most of her time making mix tapes
studying dance, vocal education, and acting. Attracted by the sound of the scratch, she
ventured to take her first DJ steps at the DMC (World DJ Championship) at the tender
age of 14. Carolina started playing break beat and Hip-Hop for a few years, and then
evolved to techno and DnB. After performing in her first major festival at the age of 18,
a new parenthesis opens in her life by enrolling and becoming one of a finalist of the
Miss Belgium beauty pageant. After graduating from the music conservatory, Carolina
was committed to pursuing her career as an international House Music DJ.
Her first remix made it to the first 15 finalists of the contest Felix Da Housecat "We all
wanna beprince" with the most listenings and digital downloads. She wrote the lyrics and
sang on her first track "My Pussy" which features the world famous producer Cutee B
who collaborated with Bob Sinclar during several years.
Her unique talent and dynamic ways secured a presence in clubs all over the world (USA,
Eastern Europe, Ukraine, China, Russia, New Caledonia, Croatia, Portugal, Turkey,
Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Canada, South America, and some African countries).
Included in her stage repertoire, Carolina has also spinned for events organized by MTV
and The Cannes Film Festival.
Carolina has, throughout her artistic career, shared
venues where other world-renown DJs to the tune of David Guetta, D.O.N.S, Steve
Angello, Armand Van Helden, Felix da Housecat to name a few, have performed.

In early 2011 Carolina Cartell established herself in Miami Florida where she founded
her own company Cartell Entertainment, LLC to channel digital publishing and
production deals. This initiative brings unpublished DJs and artists around the world the
opportunity to expose and monetize their work without the red tape of complicated legal
infrastructures and copyright clearances.
Publishing Company. Soon after BMI granted a publishing space, Carolina partnered as
a stockholder and on-air personality with a new Internet Radio Station project with a
social network backbone designed for DJs and entertainers.

After a long trajectory as an electro DJ, Carolina is finally back to the Hip-Hop stage
where her knowledge spectrum of styles and genres is well shown in her DJ set. Well
aware of her potential, Carolina Cartell continues her career into production making
music and making the dance floors move.
Ambitious enough she now produces her own electro and Hip-Hop tracks. Continuing her
successful career, Carolina now plays for several big name recording artists such as Rick
Ross, Diddy (being the first woman ever djing for Ross), The Black Eyed Peas Taboo,
Jay Sean, Flo Rida, Ludacris, Raghav, The Knocks amongst others.
A promising future is announced to this brilliant and visionary artist who will certainly be
remembered as one of the greatest female DJs around the world."
