That 7/4 start is a really nice set-up and that drop to walking bass and the Round Midnight ambience works really well. Just the kind of hard-bop reminiscences and progressive fusions I like ... not too overstated but saluted all the same. Nice work man. The later percussive relishes put me in mind of of a kind of blending of Krupa, Rich, Blakey and Joe Jones. This is just first class. How the hell it hasn't been favourited into the ground by the jazz-heads yet I just don't know, but you got a definite favourite from me. Top work Carl.
