This is like industrial Dwr Budr

    2. Zygadenus on November 05, 2009 20:40

actually, I semi-take that back. It also has progressions of Orbital's Midnight in it. Just industrial, not jungle.

Who is Kerrianne & what makes her spine so magnificent??

    2. Candle Nine on November 05, 2009 22:40

@Zygadenus: To put it simply, she's someone very special to me, to whom I owe a great deal.

I hear crushed bits. You can't have yourself a Candle Nine without a crush. It is necessity. =)

      ....here to kick it

    2. Candle Nine on April 21, 2009 02:45

@DarkFoxDown: I was thinking about maybe some directly between the two points.

    3. Candle Nine on April 21, 2009 02:53

@Candle Nine: Actually, right for this point I was thinking of locking the buffer of the kick right before this with a rising pitch so that it kind of zips and stutters into this part. :)

    4. DarkFoxDown on July 07, 2009 20:15

      @Candle Nine: indeed

maybe the melody could be a little more prominent?

    2. Zygadenus on April 20, 2009 21:19

using octaves may psychoacoustically change the timbre & bring it up into the best human hearing range. If you were to do octaves, it would be better to contrast it with the melody you already have (ie using the octaves in the second phrase).

    3. Candle Nine on April 21, 2009 02:46

@Zygadenus: I might try that, but I don't know if I want to change the timbre of it. Maybe I can swing through a creative EQ trick or something to bring it out.

    4. hellscion on April 29, 2009 23:35

@Zygadenus: somehow or another a build of something would be good right about here..

it might sound cool if you were to take out the pads and have it purely percussive? until it leads back into the melodic bit there --->

    2. Zygadenus on April 20, 2009 21:26

@tuneboxii: it sounds like a key change to Dm. Changes like that are very tasty when the original key is Fm. (Dm being the vi of Fm). Perhaps for clarity, LPF out that hiss to make the high more clear.

    3. Candle Nine on April 21, 2009 02:48

@Zygadenus: That's exactly what it is, Vulpes. :D Then when it drops out after this part for the synth melody it goes back to Fm as it all fades back in. LPF is a good idea to. Thanks.

Nice, chunky break. It adds alot to the song, gives it some darkness to go with the sadness. Really nice :D

    2. chaotic pulse on August 10, 2008 15:24

liking the beat but i think it's a bit too loud, it tends to overpower the pad and piano a bit, works well composition wise though

The combination of the drums strings and samples here works so well. I'm a real fan of good pad melodies with nice progression.

I think the high pitched synth should be a little louder here. Its really quite a beautiful piece.

this is a very beautiful song. almost perfect.

candle nine glitch industrial tympanik audio

Uploading this for two main reasons... 1. Because it's once again very strikingly different than the version I had up before, and this is the one that's going to stick... 2. For the preview of it to go with my upcoming album...

As always though, feel free to let me know what you think nonetheless. :)
