Intent on championing the freshest undiscovered talent, FIREPOWER is proud to present the debut EP from U.S.-based duo Carvar & Clock as the label’s next release. Already receiving support from the likes of Noisia, Koan Sound and Reso, as well as airplay on Radio1, Carvar & Clock is fast making waves with their powerful MISKATONIK EP.
Title-track “Miskatonik” has quickly placed Carvar & Clock, AKA Dominic Medina and Dustin Lenz, firmly in the spotlight. Blending the low-slung drum swagger of hip-hop with a gnarled apocalyptic bassline and ominous atmospheres to match, its fresh approach has deservedly been winning praise from all corners of the scene. Second track “SYZYGY” provides a worthy sparring partner on the EP, taking the same touchstones and rewiring them with its jarring drum line and distorted bass onslaught.
