“If you want it, go get it”
The end goal was never to dive head first into the music industry; perhaps, it remained a dream. Much like the rest of society, bweb19 did not have a clear vision as to where his life would end up. As a teen growing up in the Arizona desert, his primary focus was living for the weekends, paycheck to paycheck. However, this lifestyle could only sustain itself for so long.
Bweb19, formally known as Brandon Webster, was born and raised in Glendale, Arizona. As one can assume, living in a Phoenix suburb did not have much to offer. Constantly finding himself getting in and out of trouble, bweb19 had a rude awakening with the law; a true blessing in disguise. Left with the decision to either continue on a destructive path or make a change for the better, Brandon turned to music. Music immediately consumed his life and his once dream was quickly becoming a reality.
Webster knew what he wanted and, better yet, how to get it. Nine months after enrolling at Icon Collective, a credited production school out of Los Angeles, bweb19 graduated as student of the year. At top of the class, bweb19 was an inspiring student that not only took pride in his own work, but supported those striving for the same dream. With a plaque in hand, bweb19’s thirst for perfection was just beginning. Since graduating in mid-2013, bweb19 has been releasing numerous hits that have been found in videos and music blogs across the web.
Major influences have helped form bweb19 into the producer he is today. Joel Zimmerman, also known as deadmau5, was the first electronic artist that affected bweb19’s perspective on the music industry. When asked in an interview about deadmau5’s work, bweb19 explained “it was musical; I have never heard anything like it…it resonated with me in a way I had never felt before.” Webster has continued to refine his music to match the complex, yet translucent beat that listeners are attracted to. Supporting a tech/house and progressive genre, bweb19’s goal is to not only inspire others of his journey, but affect listeners like his idol continues to do for him.
For most, following a dream can often result in a lifetime of pursuit only to fall short. However, for bweb19, falling short is not an option. Ultimately, the journey ahead will be difficult, but turning a dream into a reality is never easy. Follow closely as new barriers are broken, new fans are discovered, and the movement of bweb19 becomes the next topic of discussion.
