@Double Spit: That's the sound of mellotron. I could maybe add some warmth with reverb and EQing.

@Double Spit: Thanks for constructive criticism! I cut off some of the sub 70hz bass, because I found it to be booming on lower quality speakers and headphones. I could enhance the kick drum and add back some of the sub bass, it's true.

@Double Spit: my best advise to you is to work with a reference of a track that you like during the mix. you'll see the diffrence

not enough low end in this track.. sound's a bit thin. try EQ or use harmonic exciter to bring up the basses. they cant be found in your mix.good luck

the synth that makes this meolw line sound's really poor and tierd. try somthing with more color in it. so as the drums!

Nicely done, got a touch of Gary Numan flavor in parts and much more, drums are cool also...like the chilled out part a lot at 3 minutes in.
