Theres a story behind this track so listen up.
So I just relocated to Canada from Australia for a while, no biggie. I live in a beautiful luscious part of British Columbia called the Kootenays.
About a year ago, my present roommate Shaun (SES) wrote an anthem style hiphop tune about the Kootenays, "Koots Roots". He showed it to me one night in a mutually alcohol fuelled night of music in the first days of really getting to know each other. I had an idea about Shaun being a dope MC, but this track really showcased his talents on the mic, lyrically and musically. I guess 18 years dedicated to spitting rhymes has paid off.
The lyrics are awesome. They describe what its like living in the Kootenays 24/7, 365, and just writing this track taught me a lot about my surroundings out here - Obviously hearing the lyrics over and over and over rubbed off on me.
I have played this to sold out shows with Stickybuds and Drum 'n Bass legend, DJ Aphrodite, and both times brought the place down. Obviously playing it in the Kootenays for die hard Kootenay locals who love their land helped a lot. Haha.
For the guys that sound something like: "I like the tune, but I wouldn't play it" (because lets face it, it won't work everywhere in the world), I have uploaded the instrumental as well for your mixing pleasure.
*This was at certain times due to be released on Ghetto Funk and Bombastic Jam, but I feel no label is suitable for this track. The people deserve to have it, so this is my gift to the Kootenays. I love you all, thanks for having me. :)

@jesseanmaryann: SES Wishes he could've slipped Kaslo into the lyrics! But I didn't know SES when he wrote the lyrics to this track, haha, I just turned up from Australia, and he said "Wanna remix it?" ... To which I'm like "Sure!"

I believe you missed Kaslo, perhaps I'm wrong. I might be biased as it's my hometown but it just could be the best of them all. No one ever has any beefs with Kaslo people, and we have always loved the best music of the day. Dope tune Busta, I'm sharing this everywhere
