About

Burn Daylight is the acoustic indie/emo-punk songwriting vehicle of James Pepper. Starting in 2011 with a pay-what-you-want demo that led to his first EP, "Winter Coats, and Some Songs I Wrote" in February 2012, written and recorded over 6 winter days in his bedroom, and released on a (now sold out) cassette through a Pornography For Cowards Records.

"Young Lions" followed in October 2012, a self-released full band EP based around moving back to the town you grew up in after living away for some years, came out as a free download and features the song Jane (see soundcloud link).

Over the 18 months Burn Daylight has operated as a solo mission as well as with a band, playing 60+ shows including 3 DIY tours, playing with bands such as The Buzzcocks, Into It. Over It, Vinnie Caruana, Great Cynics, Sam Russo and The Arteries.
