what's my deal? i've been a house dj (deep, soulful, funky, disco) in melbourne for the past 15 years or so.... and in that time played at a string of clubs - too many to mention here... but probably most notably a 7 year residency with butch le butch at 44, and also a 5 year residency at prince of wales - also with butch. we djed together as a duo - (butch n bud) for a really long long time. big shout out to butch :) please - go check out his traxxxx if you haven't already.

melbourne has had over the years a massive change in its appetite for house, so when house is not the flavour of the month - i also like to dabble in disco, old skool breaks and a teeny bit of hip hop.

my musical roots stretch back to high school in the late 80's where i started a electro band called the republic. this was followed by a disco musical..... then a disco band....
i started collecting 12" vinyl from the age of about 15 - new order remixes by shep pettibone spring immediately to mind - and pretty soon i discovered my first acid house track - coldcut's 'doctorin the house' - and i was soooooooold. i was also really into the cover art - and later in life became a graphic designer... and a barista... but they're all other stories for another time...

i hope to add to add a few more sets here soon... maybe some disco, and something a bit deeper - but for now - let the summer house fun roll on :)
